COW GHEE MAKING PROCESS
The Bilona method is a traditional Indian method of making ghee. It is considered to be a more natural and healthier method than other methods, as it does not involve any chemical additives or preservatives.

Curd Preparation: Fresh, full-fat milk is fermented into thick, sour curd.
Churning: The curd is placed in a wooden churner (bilona) and churned vigorously to separate the butterfat from the buttermilk.
Heating: The butterfat is heated in a clay pot over low heat.
Clarification: The butterfat is heated until it melts and the milk solids separate. The milk solids are skimmed off the top.
Cooling: The clarified butter is allowed to cool and solidify.
Storage:The ghee is stored in airtight containers in a cool, dark place.

Cow ghee is primarily composed of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids. While saturated fats have been a topic of debate, some studies suggest that medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) found in ghee can be easily digested and used for energy.
Source of Fat-Soluble Vitamins
It’s a good source of vitamins A, D, E, and K. These vitamins are crucial for various bodily functions, including vision, bone health, immune function, and blood clotting. Since they are fat-soluble, consuming them with ghee aids in their absorption.
May Aid Digestion
In Ayurveda, ghee is considered to stimulate digestive fire (“agni”). Some people find that consuming a small amount of ghee can help improve digestion by lubricating the digestive tract.
Potentially Anti-Inflammatory
Ghee contains butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid that has shown potential anti-inflammatory properties in some studies. It may help in reducing inflammation in the gut.

High Smoke Point
Ghee has a relatively high smoke point compared to some other oils, making it suitable for high-heat cooking methods like frying and sautéing. When fats reach their smoke point, they can break down and release harmful compounds
Lactose and Casein Free
he process of making ghee typically removes most of the lactose and casein found in butter, making it a potentially suitable option for some individuals with mild dairy sensitivities. However, those with severe allergies should still exercise caution.
